Fancy the suit, do you?

10 on the stupidity scale

i don't understand my classmates -- having gotten over the Viggo-Mortensen-as-Aragorn induced incoherence today, i remarked that all the principal characters in LOTR have blue eyes, even Legolas (though i'm pretty sure Orlando Bloom actually has dark brown eyes).

and then i said how sad it was when Haldir died. one classmate couldn't remember who Haldir was (!!!) so me and another classmate described him as blond etc.

classmate #1 rolled his eyes and said, 'but all the elves are blond-wat.'

and i said, 'what about Arwen?'

and classmate #2 countered with, 'she wasn't an elf-wat.'

excuse me, what book did i read?

so i said, 'but she's Elrond's daughter. he was brunette too!

both classmates insisted, 'no, he's not. he's blond like all the elves are!'

and i said, 'but Arwen...,' and felt a sense of deja vu. and wondered when Hugo Weaving got a dye job.

men.

sleep now

i love Gandalf, no matter what the colour of his robes!!! poor Gollum... *sniffs in sympathy*

too bad i couldn't stand up and cheer wildly for the ents.

i think i will watch ROTK next year. then there will be the extended version and there will be more Aragorn to melt for!

the UM version of Romeo & Juliet made me want to kill. anyone.

i dreamt i was eating with my right hand. considering i'm left-handed...

and then i dreamt that i was driving a volkswagon (or something) and had travelled back in time to 18th century Melaka. i think i was on a mission to save a zoo or something. or possibly, save some animals from a zoo.

and then, i was back on the road leading to my house, only i had passengers in my own comfortingly familiar jeep -- Ian McKellen and Alan Rickman. or maybe 'Alan Rickman' was actually Alan Rickman and Ian McKellen's love child.

i don't know!

*marvels*

ToeKnee's thoery as to why the (malaysian) broadband was crawling like a dying man slow yeaterday -- because of the 485,000 people who were logging on to the national service website, wanting to know if they/their kids would be away for the holidays so they'd have to make new ones. i think he's right!

the server allegedly wasn't able to handle 100 simultaneous hits.

oh, ok, i got the figure from here.

but really... Dinesh Nair's concern is the fact that the server wasn't able to handle it. mine is that why did these people all go to check it on the first day? surely it wouldn't have killed them to wait... oh, say 24 hours?!

and then there was the mother who sent 10 sms to find out if her rug monkey kid was called up, and complained about the fact that they cost her RM20 (they cost RM2 each to send... that's evil).

what are you, stupid? you're not the one going for 3 months of sleep-deprivation and bad food and assorted abuses.
